Tagged...

Get to know me, I've Been Tagged... Here are the Rules of the game 1. Rules of the game are posted at the beginning of post. 2. The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves 3. At the end of the post the players then tags 6 other bloggers, and posts their names.

1. I am more creative than I thought...

My Mom is one of the most creative people I know. My entire life I have just figured that my sister got the creative gene and it just skipped over me, which I was fine with. As I get older I discover that I am more creative than I thought. I really enjoy to knit, sew (I am currently working on crib bedding for our baby girl), and I started making headbands for Addie when she was a baby and it has grown from there. I have done a boutique, and I have headbands in a salon... I get requests all the time for headbands and decided recently to start it back up.

(This beautiful model is my cute niece, Lilly... isn't she precious)

2. I love sweets...

I don't enjoy dessert sweets, I actually love candy. I really like fruity candy for example Chewy Gopstopers, Circus Peanuts, Chewy Spree, Peach Rings, etc... I will be honest I will eat almost any candy ranging from mints to chocolate to Skittles. It is a really hard time of year for me to try to be good because Valentine's conversation hearts are also at the top of my list.

3. I enjoy triathlons...

Two years ago Jeremy and I decided to start triathlons together... well we both do them. We arrived together and leave together is about the extent of it. We have both found a new passion for the sport, there is something about putting all three events together that we really enjoy. Jeremy is more dedicated, motivated and driven then I will ever be, but I still thrive on the rush. I really like that it is something that we do together. It will be a very hard season for me to sit on the side lines and watch this year... I am very grateful to be having another baby, but it is a lot of fun I will miss it.

4. I love the design of homes (random I know, I will explain)...

I have always enoyed going to the Parade of Homes, watching the slide shows on homes for sale, going to friends and families homes. I like to see the structure, design and decorating. We have had the opportunity to build a new home. We did everything starting from the architecture. We drew up the house plans, selected everything from paint, moldings, fixtures... even the door hinges. I know for a lot of people this is very overwhelming, which it is at times but I enjoy every aspect of it. We would build again tomorrow if we could find land that we loved as much as we like ours. I also love to decorate... it was a thrill to be able to decorate our new house. I have helped a few friends, and it is definitely easier to decorate someone else's house than your own.

5. I love to travel...

I would like to travel more if means and time would permit. I haven't been very many places, but the trips I have gone on I have loved every minute of them. I love seeing new places, cultures and enjoying new experiences. The places I have traveled are Italy, Mexico, Florida, Grand Cayman, Bahamas, Hawaii, and all the surrounding states. This is only the tip of the iceberg, there is a long list of other places I would love to visit a few being Australia, Thailand, more of Europe and of course anywhere tropical.

6. I enjoy taking long showers...

I have always loved soaking in the shower. I didn't realize that people take 5-10 minute showers until I went to college and got married. A quick shower for me would be 15 minutes, but I enjoy longer. Unfortunately, I am not able to enjoy my long showers quite as often as I would like to due to time restraints with a two year old.

It was a really mellow week. I am happy to say that having a child potty trained is so nice. Addie has done so well, we can go in public and to friends houses and not worry about any accidents. I am a very happy Mom. The next exciting news is we have set a date to be induced... I know I am very content with being induced. I was induced with Addie and it was the best experience of my life. So we opted to try again and see if we have another good experience or if I go earlier than that that will be great also. The date is set for April 2, so I have changed my count down...yeah!!! It really isn't a big deal from my original date, but every day makes a difference...so I will take advantage of eliminating a few days off.

(Yes, I am aware that I have miss spelled girl on my slide show, but I don't know how to change it! Oh, well.)

Potty Training

We are so glad that last week is over. We officially started to potty train Addie last Monday. She was definitely ready to be potty trained. She has done great, it was easier on her than it was on Mom. We can not believe that our little girl is old enough to be potty trained. We are very proud parents. We are on our 4th day of no accidents. Addison got a no accident surprise and was so excited to get her backpack. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but she puts her clothes on herself after she goes potty and she decided to put her tutu on without any underwear. I thought it was really cute. I guess she remembered the important things!

My New Addiction...

I have never been a big reader in my life. I have heard so much about the book Twilight. I initially thought, yeah right... I would never read a book about vampires, especially one that is that is almost 500 pages. I continued to hear so much about the book, my mother, mother-in-law, friends, young girls in my ward, my grandmother, and many more. How could a book really be that good that all of these different people like this book. After the crazy holidays, I decided maybe it would be nice to take a little break and read a book. I had the book for almost a week and finally decided to start reading it on Friday. Needless to say, my house, my husband and my daughter have been a little neglected. Thank you to pregnancy... I have a hard time sleeping anyways, I have spent every nap time and every moment after everyone has gone to bed reading. I finished last night and I am dying to start the next book. I absolutely loved the characters and I can not wait for the next book. So it is very surprising to me that I actually enjoy reading. I have probably been reading the wrong books that don't keep my attention.

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve in Delta with Jeremy's family. Addison had so much fun with all of her girl cousins (we are still waiting on a boy in the family... our next little girl will be the 7th grand-daughter in a row!). This Christmas was the most enjoyable Christmas we have had yet. Addison is at a great age and was so excited for Santa to come. We loved to see the excitement and joy through her eyes. She was so excited about her very own kitchen. She hasn't stopped playing with it yet.
