What we have been up to...

Yes, it seems that another month has past and I still can not seem to keep up on the family blog. I will try to do a month in review. It has been a mellow month. It has seemed that Elle has been sick almost the entire month, which makes it very hard to get out and do things.

Addie is a trouble maker. I took my eyes off of Addie for a few minutes to make my eggs for breakfast and I turned around to a room full of baby powder. Baby powder on the couches, the coffee table, her hair, her clothes, the carpet, you can even see the baby powder particles floating in the air. I had to laugh and get the camera. She definitely keeps me on my toes.

Twilight... where do I begin. I absolutely loved the books, and I absolutely loved the movie. I have never read a book and watched the movie and I can actually say that this movie fit the image that I had created in my mind. It was a fun time!

Love is in the air... I went straight from Twilight to help my little brother propose to his girlfriend. We sent Lindsay on a scavenger hunt and ended up at Millennial Falls where Lance proposed. It was absolutely beautiful, so I wanted to post a picture. There were candles and roses everywhere. I believe that there was about 150 roses. We are excited to have Lindsay as part of our family. Thanks for letting me be part of your special night!

Random picture of Elle, I absolutely love being a mother. I have always loved being a mother, but there is a different reward when you have two children and you see how much they love each other. Elle absolutely adores Addie. It melts my heart to see how happy they are just being together.

Our little angels. It is so fun to have children old enough to participate in the family nativity.
This is a cute picture of my grandma. She is the most amazing person. She is always thinking of others, she is the best cook in the world, she has accomplished so many things and continues to live life to its fullest. She was also the first woman life guard in California (I have always thought that was so incredible!). I love being able to be around her.

I thought this was a cute picture of Jeremy and Addie. Addie always has on creative outfits, yes we understand that it is winter and she is wearing a tank top! It is a battle with this child to wear anything.
Addie had her first dance performance. She did a great job. On her first performance I walked up in the middle of the isle to see her better and she spotted me, so I became one of those Moms! She didn't move and just stared at me, so as any good Mom would do I started to do the dance so she would do it too. She was a little delayed, but she
did it. I walked away thinking... I can not believe I was one of those Moms that did the dance in the audience. Oh, well. The second performance she stood there and looked at the beautiful lights and found jewels on the floor of the stage during the performance. It was really cute. We definitely had a good laugh.

Halloween, we enjoy this way too much!

We had a great Halloween. We had a murder mystery dinner at our house with a bunch of friends. Can you walk the walk, and talk the talk? I know about 20 people that can! It was a great night. Thank you Jamie for putting together the game.

We really enjoy dressing up, especially Jeremy.
This year Jeremy tops the best Halloween costume ever! Yes, he really did shave his head!

Addie dresses up everyday, so Halloween didn't seem much different other than everyone else was joining her! Addie changed her costume multiple times, she ended up being a princess. I know big surprise. Cute Elle was a cuddly teddy bear.

I keep thinking that I am going to get better at updating my blog, but here I am... another month has past and I am a way behind. I will give a brief overview of the last month. At the beginning of October I had a girls weekend in Park City. We had such a great time together. I absolutely love my girls, but Mom's need a little time away to play. Thanks Janie, Michelle and Tricia.

While the husband's hunt, wife's will play! This year I took a different approach to the hunt. I decided that if Jeremy was going to go hunting, I was going to go somewhere as well. I decided to go to Missouri to visit Ty and Aimee that moved there in the summer. As you can see the hunt was a big success for Jeremy. Good job sweet heart. (sorry guys, if you want more details you will have to talk to Jeremy!)
Missouri was a blast! We had 10 days filled of fun. We were so excited to see all of our best friends. Addie was so excited to see Jackson, we had been counting down the days. When the moment came to see Jackson they ran to each other and gave the biggest hug I have ever seen! Addie and
Jackson just couldn't get enough of each other, literally. At one point they were holding each other so tight and close and giving kisses that I had to intervene. They were so cute together.
I have never dreamed of going to Nauvoo and we were able to go there. I am so happy that they only lived 2 hours away. It was quite an adventure to brave the cold with 2 - 3 year old

and 2 - 6 month olds. It was amazing to feel the spirit and the faith of the saints that went before us. It was a great opportunity to do a temple session in the restored Nauvoo temple. I hope that one day I can go back with Jeremy and spend more time.

We had such a great time from going to Nauvoo, decorating cupcakes, Happy Feet, girls nights out, Halloween party and picnic at the lake. Smith family thank you so much for the great vacation. We had such a great time, we are already going through withdrawals :).

Yes, we are still alive

Wow! It has been a while since we have updated. Here is a little of what has been going on. Addie has started a dance class and loves it. I can not believe that I have a little girl that is big enough to be going to a dance class. It has been so fun to see her grow and understand so much. We thought that a dance class would be fitting for our little princess that loves dresses and anything girly!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADDISON! Addie just turned 3! I know that every parent thinks this, but we can not believe how fast time flies and how fast our sweet angel has grown up. I started asking Addie a few weeks ago what she would like for her birthday and the only thing that she wanted was a princess tea party. I continued to think that she would forget about it and we could do a simple family birthday party, every time I asked she continued to say that she wanted a princess tea party. We decided to do a little party. It was the cutest party ever. Addie had 6 good friends and cousins come over all dressed up from head to toe. We had a tea party with water, made princess crowns and had pink cupcakes... every little girls dream.

Addie had the best birthday ever. After all of the craziness wore off I asked her if she had fun and she replied "Mommy, it was just what I wanted!" Comments like that make all of the hard work worth it to make your little girl happy. The fun didn't end there... Dad decided that Addie should have a bike. You can never start them too early, right? I really was not quite sure if she would be able to handle a big bike...Boy was I wrong. She absolutely loves it. The picture is worth a million words.
Here is a cute picture of Elle, this is her famous grandpa face. She just turned 6 months, some of her favorite things are to roll all over and get into trouble, she loves fruit, gags at peas (I think it is so funny), she loves me to hold her, and is starting to sit up on her own, ohh and did I mention she loves me to hold her! She requires a lot of attention, but is so much fun.

The reason that we have disappeared off of the earth is that we decided to continue school. We are taking a calculus class that to put it simple IT IS KICKING OUR BUTTS! I am going crazy with the girls during the day and at night after the girls are down we are usually doing homework for 3 to 4 hours a night. So we don't usually have time for anything extra... we haven't even watched any of the new episodes of Office or Biggest Loser, that definitely means we are very busy around here!

Anniversary

Happy Anniversary! We just had our 7 anniversary, I know 7 can you believe it! It has been 7 wonderful years that I have been married to my best friend. I just wanted to tell Jeremy how much I love him. He is such a great father and husband. He is a very hard worker and would do anything for anyone especially his family. I love absolutely everything about him from his beautiful smile, to his determination all the way down to his the quirky things he does like picky his toe nails!!! I am so grateful for him and what a blessing he has been to me and our family. I am grateful that he honors the priesthood. I can honestly say that it was the best and easiest decision of my life. I love you!

It was my turn to arrange our anniversary. We were going to go to St. George and we decided it would be better to stay in town, trying to be financially smart...I know boring. We went to Body Worlds, I would highly recommend it to everyone. It was absolutely amazing. It is intriguing to see how incredible the human body is. We went to Ruth's Chris for dinner, it is also amazing. If dinner could be art and delicious too, then this is the place. I loved it, it is the best steak ever! It was nice to sit down and have adult conversation and eat at a slow pace and not shovel in food to hurry to keep kids happy. Thank you to my Mom for watching the girls over night, it was a well needed break.

Chunky Monkey

I finally had Elise's 4 month appointment. It is a little delayed but her is the update:

Weight: 15 lbs. 14 oz. (93%)

Height: 26 1/2 inches (97%+) The chart only goes to 97%+, but the nurse said that if she had to guess on her height she would be around 125%. Wow! She will hopefully play basketball, volleyball or be a model! I think it is great and love having a chunky baby.

We had a little bit of a rough start, but things are so great. Elle is so much fun, we have a completely different baby now. She is giggling, babbling, rolling over like crazy and becoming mobile very quickly. I love being a Mom and seeing the interaction between my girls.

Summer Fun

Addie absolutely loves going CAMPING! She would do it every day if she could. Here are a few pictures from camping with Jeremy's family. We had a great time. We love the outdoors and love to camp and just take it easy.

Addie was all decked out ready to go camping!
For any of you that really know Addie, she likes to do her own thing and sometime is off in la, la land. It is a very happy place to be. Addie is up on a rock singing at the top of her lungs. We love this little girl, she brings so much joy to our family!

Uncle Chase thought the baby bjorn looked pretty cool, so he wanted to give it a try. I think it is a great accessory!

July Update

Here is a little update for the month of July. I know I have a really hard time keeping up on the whole blog thing. I would say that I will try to be better, but I know that that is an empty promise and I will continue to slack.

Jeremy had the opportunity (I am not sure if he would use that word) to go on High Adventure Scout Camp. They hiked up Twin Peaks, overall they had no life threatening injuries and had no lost scouts so for the most part they had a great time. The pictures are amazing.

We went to Idaho a few weekends ago for Spudman. This was Jeremy's first race this year that the conditions have been good. It was hot, which is expected but at least it wasn't windy, raining and abnormally cold conditions. Jeremy did great job as always. Ryan (my brother) also participated in this race. It was fun to have my family there to support. Good job Ryan and Jeremy. We decided to make a weekend out of it and we went camping and fishing at Lava Hot Springs. We had a great time (we will never get away with camping on the deck now that Addie has had a taste of the real thing). Thank you Ken and Corrie for showing us a great fishing spot and a great time.

Yes, Addie still needs to wear a dress to bed even if we are camping.

Isn't it a great outfit!

Here are a few other pictures...

Elle is getting so big... and we really mean big. She is really chubby and is super long! I will give you an update on her next

appointment. She has been so much fun. She is progressing so fast. We are so happy

to be out of the colic stage, she is a great baby and a great sleeper. She usually sleeps between 9-11 hours a night. Yeah! She has already rolled over, she can scoot and turn a complete 360 degrees. Addie has been such a great big sister and loves Elise. Addie also loved the fireworks.

Camping... sort of

We were planning on going camping last weekend with my family and due to scheduling conflicts we were not able to go. Addie was really excited to go so we decided to set up a tent on our deck and have our own little campout. We will be honest, it was definitely easier to do it on our deck than haul everything up to the mountains and it still satisfied the need for camping for a little while. Addie still thought that it was the coolest thing to sleep in the tent. We had a great time and Elle was still able to sleep in her bed, it worked great.

Bride To Be...

Jamie is getting married! Jamie we are so happy for you to get married. Travis is a great guy and was well worth the wait. We are so excited for you to start your life together. You deserve the best. You are such a great friend and you will be a great wife and a great mother some day. We love you!
We had a really good time at Jamie's bridal shower. It is always fun to get friends together.
