30 Years Young

I am a little late to post on Jeremy's Birthday. Jeremy turned the big 30 on April 15. Jeremy has been reminding me... okay teasing me that the big 30 was coming up. I have been preparing for a little while to make this a good birthday. Addie helped me every step of the way and loved every minute of it. We started the day off with clues that lead to different places and different presents. We went to brunch at Millcreek Cafe (I would recommend it to anyone), then to the dinosaur museum (Addie's request), and then to Cabela's. It was a day of fun with the family. We went to Fleming's for dinner for some delicious steaks. I had planned a little surprise get together for cake and ice cream at our house after and it was the best part of the day. We got home and everyone was in there places and jumped out. I have never seen Jeremy so scared in my life. I even think he squealed like a little girl! (Okay I might be exaggerating a little bit on that one!) It was so much fun to have everyone come over and hang out. I am bummed that I didn't take pictures or have my video camera out. Thank you everyone for your support.

The big surprise for Jeremy's birthday is that I had everything arranged to go to
San Francisco
We headed out on Friday to Monday. It was so nice to have alone time together and to surprise Jeremy. It was so nice that my good friend wanted to take the girls, Thank you Ashley. It was nice to know that they were taken care of and I didn't have to worry. They absolutely love Ashley, Garrett, Kenedy and Gavin. I was surprised that they didn't even want to come home. Thank you again, you guys are the best.
We did all of the tourist attractions: Night tour of Alcatraz which was amazing to hear the stories of the prison and to see the view of San Francisco. We ran to and across the Golden Gate Bridge, it was 11 miles round trip and yes I thought I was going to die! We saw the Redwood Trees, amazing to see trees that are thousands of years old. Ghiradelli Square, chocolate need I say more... we loved the free samples. And a few more major attractions such as Lombard Street, Shopping (I love H&M), Fisherman's Wharf. It is an amazing city and we absolutely had a blast. Here are a few pictures from our little getaway.

Happy Birthday Sweet Heart!

Thank you for being such a great Husband, Father and Best Friend. I love you!

Easter Celebration

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It is the holiday that marks the beginning of Spring. We had a great time with friends and family. To start off the Easter weekend our neighbors do the biggest Easter Egg Hunt ever.... 12,000 Eggs! It is quite the festivity. The eggs are stuffed by several families months before the big event with candy, bunny money, seed packets, etc. The bunny money is used at the bunny bakery, bunny store or you can try your luck at the auction. This year at the auction they had different items such as homemade quilts, blenders, camping equipment, tools, etc. The bakery had all kinds of freshly baked breads, cookies, cupcakes, jams and so on and the store had just about anything you can imagine from crayons to aprons to marshmellow guns made from pvc pipe. It was absolutely amazing and we had a great time. Thank you Jensons!

Then we headed off to Delta. We always have such a fun time at the adult Easter Egg Hunt, we definitely missed Audrey's family. It was fun to spend the weekend together as a family and gain bragging rights for finding the most eggs getting the most money and so on. This hunt is serious business it is not a casual hunt where everyone is wished good luck, this is the kind of hunt where people get tackled when going for the same egg. Chase currently holds the crown for the most eggs found... we'll get the title back next year just you wait. There were prizes such as family games, homemade quilts (which I am still glad that I beat Chase for that!) and top prize this year was a tv! It was fun to be with the family and spend time together. Thank you Mom Smith for the great weekend, hard work and great food!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Happy Birthday Elle!

I can't not believe how fast the last year has gone, but also I can not remember our family without our sweet girl. Elle has added so much to our family. We love her contagious smile, we love her happiness and her giggle. I love to hear her babble, squeal and growl. She is our little bear.

Here are a few of Elle's favorite things:
She loves Addie, and needs to be every where Addie is.
She loves to suck her thumb, but only when she is really tired.
She absolutely loves cheese, she just can't get enough.
She loves soft cuddly blankets and lays on them and does a wiggly dance on the floor.
She will growl and grunt to get what she wants.
She loves to feed Roxy the food that she doesn't want to eat (she is learning quick).
She still loves her Mom and usually cries for a few minutes when I leave (can you blame her!), she still has intense stanger anxiety. Wal-mart greeters stay away. You ruin my shopping experience every time...Do not talk to my baby!
She loves pull up and scale everything.
She loves to get into everything and pull it out, something about getting everything out that makes something more fun.
Elle enjoyed every ounce of her cake, especially the frosting!
