The Final Countdown --Things are going to get LOCO

Well its the Final Countdown, this next week things are going to get interesting to say the least! Needless to say this is Jeremy and I am sabotaging the blog for today.

So here is the schedule for next week of course assuming baby, Jr. as I like to refer to him (and it better come out a him, not a shim and not a her) does not come before Wednesday the 28th. Before I start I must preface this by saying I have the coolest and most understanding wife in the world. :-)

Friday- Last Family Night as a Family of 4. Headed some place fun to spend time with just the 4 of us. Addie wants ChuckE Cheese, Dad wants Pirate Island Pizza, Elle doesn't talk and Cort wants the baby out before then.

Saturday - Final big training day for Ironman. Taking it easy, finish getting the girls bunk beds done and get Elle moved over.

Sunday

Enough said...its Sunday

Monday and Tuesday

Normal days (unless baby comes), Start getting things ready for Ironman do taper workouts

Wednesday (This is when things start to get crazy)

Cort gets induced sometime on Wednesday at the hospital shown to the left (AF). Here is the plan for that day. Have baby, get emotional and marvel in the miracle of birth (to be done simultaneously), invite grandparents in, watch grandparents cry and hold baby, let Cort rest while I go to eat by myself at Betos in AF (my little tradition after every child), while at Betos send mass texts announcing birth of baby, answer some texts and read them to Cort when I return to hospital, talk about names for JR (I vote for Marvin or Joseph), wait for Addie and Elle to arrive to introduce them to JR., enjoy visits from friends and more family, fill out paperwork, finalize baby name (in that order). Things to be done throughout the day make sure Cort and JR are comfortable and taken care of and change poopy diapers the consistency of tar...cant what for that!! (the tar diapers that is)

Thursday

Go to hospital and make sure baby (should have a name at this point) and Cort are doing good. Hang out with Cort and visitors, go home and finish packing for Ironman, head back to hospital hang out a little longer, leave for St George (by myself), arrive in St George.

Friday

Cort gets discharged from hospital, yes I will not be there so Lori and Rudy are going to see that she is taken care of. Cort goes home and gets car loaded to head to St. George. She will be enduring the 4-5 hour trip with three kids and just having given birth. Isn't she amazing, no worries she will be going as a co-pilot, one of her parents will more than likely drive. I have to do last minute check in at 8 a.m. on Friday in St George and get final details figured out (drop off bike, say lots of prayers, drop off transition bags, etc.)

Saturday -- St George Ironman

Wake up at 3:45 a.m. and start getting nutrition in and final bags packed. 7:00 a.m. start the swim portion of IM in Sandhollow. Hopefully no later than 8:30 a.m. start the cycling portion of IM. Hopefully by 2:30 I will be starting the run portion of IM and hopefully be done by 7:00 p.m. I say hopefully because there are so many factors of this race that are out of my control. Sometime around 7 p.m. cross finish line, find family, get emotional, take pictures (not simultaneoulsy, well tbd). Hang out, eat food (good food), go back to condo, crash for many hours.

Sunday
Relax, Veg out and enjoy family.

I doubt it will all happen that way, but come next Sunday we will be able to breath a little and that will be nice.

That is such a crazy week, but so many exciting things are involved. Good luck with baby (my vote is Magnus for the name, but Joseph is a close second) and good luck on the Ironman. We'll be cheering you on from home:)

OK JER---- you have me bawling like a baby....or an 8 and a half month pregnant woman!?! Yes, Cort is AMAZING! We all know this. These two events in your lives are HUGE and to come at the SAME time is overwhelming. I can only imagine the emotions you'll be feeling while you race in I.M., thinking of your new addition (a boy, no less) and getting to see all F-O-U-R members of your new little family, waiting for you, as you cross the finish line. WOW, I'm so excited for all of you!
