Easter Celebration

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It is the holiday that marks the beginning of Spring. We had a great time with friends and family. To start off the Easter weekend our neighbors do the biggest Easter Egg Hunt ever.... 12,000 Eggs! It is quite the festivity. The eggs are stuffed by several families months before the big event with candy, bunny money, seed packets, etc. The bunny money is used at the bunny bakery, bunny store or you can try your luck at the auction. This year at the auction they had different items such as homemade quilts, blenders, camping equipment, tools, etc. The bakery had all kinds of freshly baked breads, cookies, cupcakes, jams and so on and the store had just about anything you can imagine from crayons to aprons to marshmellow guns made from pvc pipe. It was absolutely amazing and we had a great time. Thank you Jensons!

Then we headed off to Delta. We always have such a fun time at the adult Easter Egg Hunt, we definitely missed Audrey's family. It was fun to spend the weekend together as a family and gain bragging rights for finding the most eggs getting the most money and so on. This hunt is serious business it is not a casual hunt where everyone is wished good luck, this is the kind of hunt where people get tackled when going for the same egg. Chase currently holds the crown for the most eggs found... we'll get the title back next year just you wait. There were prizes such as family games, homemade quilts (which I am still glad that I beat Chase for that!) and top prize this year was a tv! It was fun to be with the family and spend time together. Thank you Mom Smith for the great weekend, hard work and great food!
